Description The Kurgo Tru-Fit Smart Harness with Enhanced Strength is a crash tested dog car harness that keeps you and your puppy safe while driving. It was designed as a dog safety harness, not a converted running harness. The all-steel buckle system is based on the technique for harnesses used by climbers and line leaders to ensure strength and safety. With five adjustment points, it's easy to get a nearly custom fit for any dog, regardless of size and proportions. The chest pad reduces strain on the trachea and sternum while distributing kinetic energy across the dog's chest. This is important for rare but dangerous impact crashes. Because it's designed with comfort in mind, our Tru-Fit harness with enhanced strength can also be used as a no-pull dog harness. There is a retaining ring on the front chest plate. When your puppy tries to pull, he will simply turn it over to effectively train him that pulling will not bring him anywhere. For maximum fall protection and to limit exit, you should use the included carabiner to attach the harness to your car seat belt system. If your dog can't tolerate this level of restraint, you can also use the included 10 inch seat belt to provide a bit more freedom of movement.
