The new and improved smooth glide design delivers a smooth glide as you style. It's perfect for color treated hair thanks to the heat control sensor, which prevents overheating for less damage and color fading. The ceramic titanium plates heat up fast to create a smooth glide. Find the heat you prefer for your hair type with easy- to-use digital controls and a range of five heat settings from 300 Degree to 450 Degree. Damage to color vs. Standard Remington straightener. IMPORTANT: To prevent accidental temperature changing, the temp control can be locked by twisting the dial all the way to the left and holding for 2 seconds (the lock symbol will appear on the display). When ready to unlock, you must again twist the dial all the way to the left and hold for 2 seconds. (The lock symbol will disappear and the temp control will work normally.) Use 300°F - 340°F (150°C - 170°C) for Thin/fine, damaged or bleached hair; Use 340°F - 410°F (170°C - 210°C) for Normal, healthy hair; Use 410°F - 450°F (210°C - 230°C) for Thick and difficult-to-style hair. For waves: Twist 180° and glide down. For curls: Twist and glide slowly. For straight: Glide without twisting.
